Green Fest returns to Camborne bigger than ever this September

Four bands, dozens of stalls and a park full of stilt walkers. Camborne’s free celebration of music, community and green living is heading back to Crane Road for its fourth year, and organisers say this one has a bigger buzz than any before it.

A free day out on Camborne Recreation Ground

Camborne Town Council‘s Green Fest takes place on Camborne Recreation Ground on Saturday 12 September, running from 11am to 5pm. It is free to attend and open to everyone, the fourth year running the festival has taken over the Green Flag Award winning park.

The event was originally due to take place during Great Big Green Week, the Climate Coalition’s nationwide celebration of community action for nature and climate, which ran from 6 to 14 June 2026. It was postponed after a local weather warning, and now returns with the same free, family-friendly spirit intact.

Folk, blues, pop-punk and ska on the main stage

Four acts are confirmed for the main stage, moving through the genres as the day goes on. Opening things up is Martha Woods, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist nominated for Folk London’s Album of the Year. She is followed by C-Bone, a three-piece nominated twice in the past two years for a UK Blues Award.

Redruth’s Kerosene Cocktail turn up the tempo from there with an explosive mix of pop-punk covers and originals, before crowd favourites Rudi’s Message close out the day with their uplifting ska anthems and Two Tone tales.

Stalls, sustainability and roving street performers

Away from the stage, festival-goers can explore stalls hosted by local charities and environmental organisations, including Cornwall Wildlife Trust, the Fairtrade Foundation, Healthy Cornwall, Cornwall Marine Network, the Seal Research Trust and many more, each showcasing work happening across Cornwall to support sustainability and nature.

Hotch Potch Performance brings roving entertainment throughout the day, with stilt walkers and street performers adding colour and surprise across the park.

Food, drink and things for the kids

Festival food and non-alcoholic drinks come from four local companies, and there are children’s activities set up beside the park’s playground, making it an easy day out to bring the whole family to. Whether you are dancing at the front of the stage or working your way round the stalls, organisers say there is something for every age.

Getting to Green Fest

Camborne Recreation Ground is on Crane Road, TR14 7PJ, next to Camborne Rugby Ground. The what3words address is steady.award.grace.

It’s a 15 minute walk from Camborne Railway Station, and 8 minutes from the bus stop on College Street. Organisers are asking people to arrive on foot or by public transport where they can, as part of the effort to keep the event as sustainable as possible. Parking at Camborne Rugby Club on Cranberry Road is limited.
