A38 Liskeard to Trerulefoot safety plans: have your say

Anyone who drives the A38 between Liskeard and Trerulefoot already knows the stretch demands concentration. National Highways has been working on proposals it says will make the road safer, and next month it is bringing those plans to Liskeard so drivers can see them in person and say what they think.

Why this stretch of the A38 is under the spotlight

National Highways, the government company responsible for England’s motorways and major A roads, has developed proposals for improvements between the Liskeard and Trerulefoot junctions to support a safer road network. The section between those two junctions runs 34% above the regional average for serious and fatal collisions, based on collision data from 2019 to 2024.

Meet the team in Liskeard

National Highways is holding a public session where its team will explain the proposals and listen to feedback from local communities. It takes place on 5 October, from 1pm to 6.30pm, at Liskeard Public Hall, 3-5 West St, Liskeard, PL14 6BW.

Can’t get there in person?

Not everyone will be free on a Monday afternoon. National Highways says the proposals and a questionnaire will be uploaded to its website later this month, so anyone who can’t make the Liskeard session can still have their say online.
