Cloud across Devon and Cornwall lifts through the day to bring sunny spells right across the region. It turns slightly warmer than recent days, with light winds and a high of 23°C. A pleasant, easy day once that early grey clears away.

Tonight

Dry this evening and overnight, with variable cloud broken by some clear spells. Cloud thickens up from the north later on, and there could be the odd shower in the far west. It turns cooler, dropping to a low of around 8°C.

Wednesday 23 September

Mostly dry but often cloudy. There is a chance of some rain across the north of the region during the morning and into the early afternoon, with the south more likely to hold on to the dry weather. Skies clear from the west later in the day. The high reaches 22°C.

Thursday to Saturday outlook

The settled spell holds through Thursday and Friday. Expect chilly nights followed by bright, sunny days, and it will feel warm whenever the sun is out. The turn comes on Saturday (26 September), when cloud increases and brings the risk of some rain back to the region. So make the most of the midweek sunshine while it lasts.
