Truro wants 30 minutes of your time for its City Clean Up
Half an hour, a pair of gloves and a litter stick. That is all Truro is asking of anyone willing to help tidy up the city centre later this month.
The City Clean Up returns on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October, and organisers are looking for businesses, community groups and residents to get involved.

Who is behind it
The two-day event is organised by Truro BID in partnership with Newham BID. It is described as a chance for people to give something back to the city.
Nobody is being asked to give up a whole day. Organisers say that whether you can spare 30 minutes or an hour, every contribution makes a visible difference.
What volunteers will be doing
City centre tasks will include:
- Sign washing
- Cable tie removal
- Litter picking
You do not need to bring anything with you. All equipment is provided, including high-vis vests, gloves, bags and litter sticks, thanks to Clean Cornwall.
How to take part
Damien Richards, Truro City Council’s Community Development Officer, is encouraging local groups and residents to take part in the community event.
To register your interest or find out more, email [email protected]. Organisers have asked people to get in touch by Friday 2 October.
