Carn to Cove has unveiled the full listings for its Spring and Summer 2026 season, bringing 36 shows by 15 professional touring companies and artists to 35 venues across Cornwall.

From February to May, music, theatre, dance, circus, poetry and family performances will take place in village halls, churches, arts centres and community spaces from St Buryan to Saltash. Working with hundreds of volunteers, Carn to Cove continues its mission of making high-quality arts accessible in rural communities, with tickets starting at £5.

Programme Manager Francesca Duncan said: “We are passionate about bringing communities together to experience world-class performance in venues local to them; eliminating barriers of cost and travel. Once again, we are proud to offer a programme that helps make the arts accessible to all.”

March 2026

The Complete Works of Jane Austen – Abridged

Schoolhouse Productions

“One newbie and two self-professed Janeites, through almost all means imaginable, tackle the entire canon of Jane Austen’s works…in just 80 minutes.”

Described as a fun, funny and fast-paced romp, three actors take on all of Austen’s heroines, friends and love interests along with her incisive social satire. The production promises to delight both dedicated Janeites and newcomers.

“It’s Bingo Night at The Stairway To Heaven Social Club, and ‘Mr Razzle Dazzle’ himself, Bertie Bingo, is ready for an evening of dabbers, Droopy Drawers… and death! As numbers roll in and tension mounts, a body is discovered—but whose number is up?”

Eyes Down is described as a thrilling interactive comedy where the audience plays actual games of bingo for real prizes while a comedy thriller unfolds. From the team behind The Plot Thickens and The Killer Question, Just Some Theatre and writer David Payne bring what is billed as a high-stakes whodunit to Cornwall.

Chapel Street Ensemble

In a series of concerts set in Cornwall’s chapels and churches, Chapel Street Ensemble presents a dynamic, varied and innovative programme tailored to each venue. Performances are described as relaxed and informal, aimed at both classical music fans and curious first timers.

Named after one of the most historic and characterful streets in Penzance, the ensemble brings together leading professional musicians from Cornwall under the leadership of Timothy Dean.

All For Your Delight

Farnham Maltings

Danny, Jojo and Yaz are on tour, bringing their variety show to audiences across the country. Between gigs at holiday resorts, they don their Brightcoats and head into theatres nationwide.

The show features comedy acts, songs, games and roller-skating. But “behind the sequins and spotlights, something deeper is unfolding.” When an unexpected character appears, hidden secrets begin to surface.

Described as brimming with heart and humanity, the production explores what it takes to put on “a proper good night out”.

Stories from an Invisible Town

Shôn Dale-Jones

“Step into a kaleidoscopic universe full of wonder, nostalgia and magic as we enter the imaginary town Shôn lived in as a boy.”

Written by “the great Welsh storyteller” (The Stage), Stories from an Invisible Town is described as charming, unsettling and full of surprises. Part theatre, part storytelling and part stand-up, the show turns reality into fiction while exploring vulnerability and difference.

The Freshwater 5

Deadman

“Five Fishermen. £53 million of cocaine. An ongoing fight for justice.”

Deadman and playwright Liam Patrick Harrison present a production inspired by The Guardian Today in Focus podcast. The Freshwater Five incorporates verbatim accounts, storytelling, poetry, song and inventive stagecraft.

The Isle of Wight company explores themes including historical and contemporary smuggling, deteriorating coastal communities, immigration and folklore, asking the question: innocent fishermen or international drug smugglers?

Suntou Susso

“Step into an unforgettable evening with Suntou Susso, a captivating singer, performer and master of the kora.”

The 22-string West African harp has carried the soul of Mandinka culture for over seven centuries. Born into a lineage of Gambian Griots, Suntou is described as both a guardian of tradition and a bold innovator.

The Clockwork Moth

“The woods are calling; step beneath the canopy and follow the scent of sugar!”

This retelling of the Grimm tale uses shadow puppetry, storytelling and music. Highly intricate, funny and atmospheric, the production is described as a shadow play for adults and children.

A playful, site-specific theatre adventure combining breakin’ with immersive audio storytelling. Audiences wear headsets and influence the movement and music as the story unfolds.

Edward Rowe / Kernow King

A double bill featuring Kernow King and Myghtern Kernow, both otherwise known as Edward Rowe.

The first half promises classic Kernow King humour about being Cornish and living in Cornwall. The second half is performed in Kernewek.

Casson and Friends

Uniquely blending theatre, movement and documentary, Shed Stories brings to life the world of Men’s Sheds. Created through personal interviews, it shines a light on community, connection and friendship.

With more than 1,200 Sheds across the UK, the production explores the growing phenomenon and the role these spaces play in wellbeing.

The Four Seasons

James Wilton Dance

James Wilton Dance presents a production set to Max Richter’s recomposed version of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

Featuring capoeira, acrobatics, martial arts and classical dance, the work connects the four musical seasons to four stages of the universe.

Redacted: A Cover-Up of the Cover-Up of a Cover-Up

Voloz Collective

“Fargo meets The Office meets James Bond.”

Set in 1973, the story follows Marnie Makowski as she travels to New Mexico to uncover the conspiracy behind her brother’s disappearance. Described as a high-octane, darkly comic thriller, the production combines physical theatre, acrobatics and live music.

Come Together – the Magic of A Cappella Voices

FreePlay
