Bodmin Jail Opens Its Cells for Home Education Days
A real Victorian prison might not be the first place you’d picture for a school day, but Bodmin Jail Attraction is betting it beats the classroom.
The attraction is running a two-day Home Education event on the 15th and 16th of June, giving home educating families the chance to explore Cornwall’s history outside the usual lesson plan. The sessions are self-led and tailored to curriculum goals, set inside the attraction’s historic surroundings. Tickets are £10 per person, and that price covers adults and children alike.
Visitors will get to see what life was like inside one of the UK’s most historic prisons. The event includes the attraction’s 4D cinematic Immersive Dark Walk, along with exhibits that are billed as bringing history to life beyond the classroom.

Spaces are limited, and the attraction is asking people to book early to avoid disappointment. To book, call 01208 76292, or buy tickets at the ticket desk on the day.
