Bodmin litter pickers close in on 1,000-bag landmark

Twenty-five bags of rubbish and recycling doesn’t sound like a landmark number, until you learn it is one more week stacked onto a running tally that is now closing in on four figures.

Another Wednesday, another haul from College Lane

The Bodmin Tidy It Team were back out on Wednesday, working the College Lane area of Bodmin. The volunteers collected 14 bags of recycling and 11 bags of rubbish between them, and were pleased to find very few fly-tipped items along the way.

New faces and a day off well spent

It was good to meet Archie and Alex, who came along for the first time. Franklin and Maxwell, in the area on holiday, joined in too, coming along with Tom. And Alan took time out from work to take part, using the session as his Community Environment Day.

Closing in on four figures

The 25 bags from College Lane push the group’s running total to 981, leaving the Bodmin Tidy It Team within touching distance of 1,000. Thanks go to everyone who turned out and worked hard: Sue, Trish, Gary, Andy V, Anne, Theresa, Mandy, Lin, Alan, Jo, Lindsay, Karen, Jeremy, Tom, Max, Franklin, Maxwell, Nat, Penelope, Ezra, Archie, Alex, Ash and Paul.
