Child in Car as Driver Caught at 46mph in 30 Zone in Bodmin
Police in Bodmin have reported a speeding incident that took place on Friday 7th November.
A Speed Detection officer was parked near Beacon Road and Valley View when an oncoming vehicle was recorded travelling at 46 mph in a 30 mph limit.
According to police, there was a child in the front seat, apparently on the way to school. Officers described the behaviour as “shocking”.
The driver is expected to receive paperwork relating to the offence, likely in the form of a fine and penalty points on their licence.
Police reminded motorists that excess speed is one of the ‘Fatal 5’ contributing factors to serious and sometimes fatal collisions throughout the year.
