A family project that grew

DaysLikeThis.Life is built around real family life, featuring Brett, his wife Vikki, their sons George and William, and Lola the Sproodle. The content covers family days out, Devon coast adventures, Spanish travel, books, humour and storytelling, with regular features including George’s Fact of the Day and William’s Joke of the Day.

The brand has grown rapidly across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and its website, with recent figures showing tens of millions of monthly views across the family’s platforms.

Brett said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for the UK Content Awards. DaysLikeThis.Life began as a very personal family project, sharing real moments, adventures, stories, humour and the things that matter to us. To see it grow into a recognised content brand, and now be shortlisted nationally, is incredibly special.”

He added: “What makes this so meaningful is that it has always been built around family. Vikki, George, William and Lola are all part of it, and our audience has really connected with the honesty, humour and warmth of what we share. We’re proud to be flying the flag for independent family creators and storytellers.”

What the awards recognise

The UK Content Awards celebrate innovative, impactful and creative content campaigns across digital platforms, social media, podcasts, video, brand storytelling and traditional channels. The 2026 shortlist was announced on 1st May 2026, with winners to be revealed at a ceremony on Thursday 11th June 2026 at the London Hilton Paddington.

The awards are run by Don’t Panic Events.

The Legend of St Mawes

Alongside the online content, Brett also writes children’s adventure books. The Legend of St Mawes is a Famous Five-style series following five friends and their playful Sproodle on holiday adventures, with stories ranging from Spanish smugglers to Cornish storms at sea. The books are available on Amazon.

The website ties Brett’s storytelling work together with the family’s video content, pulling together videos, stories, books, updates and behind-the-scenes moments in one place.

Brett said: “We’re still very much a family doing this ourselves, which is why this recognition means so much. It shows that authentic, positive, family-led content can sit alongside bigger campaigns and still make an impact.”
