Host Planet Roadshow Brings Short Term Rental Industry Event to Cornwall
A national roadshow focused on the self catering and short term rental sector is heading to Cornwall next month, bringing industry figures, suppliers and property professionals together for a full day of discussion and collaboration.
The Host Planet Roadshow will take place on Thursday 5th February, starting at 9am, at the Oceanside Hotel in Newquay.
A Day Focused on Cornwall’s STR Sector
The event is designed for people working across the self catering and short term rental industry, including property managers, owners, suppliers and influencers. It is sponsored by Beach Retreats, a Cornwall based holiday letting agency with a portfolio of 230 properties.
The Roadshow brings together the STR community from across the UK, using curated roundtable discussions and short knowledge sessions to encourage conversation and shared learning.
Key Morning Discussions
The morning will feature a series of roundtable discussions covering topics that affect Cornwall and the wider STR sector. These include:

Future proofing Cornwall’s short term rental industry with Andy Easton, Managing Director of Beach Retreats, alongside Katie Warren, self catering industry advocate, and Andy Fenner, Chief Executive of the Short Term Accommodation Association.

A Q&A session with industry figures covering AI, tax regulations, revenue management, marketing and guest experience.

A data focused discussion with PriceLabs, sharing the latest Cornwall specific insights to help improve pricing strategies across the county.

A wider look at the challenges and opportunities currently facing the short term rental industry in Cornwall and beyond.
Afternoon Collaboration and Competition
In the afternoon, attendees will take part in a roundtable competition to create a PR campaign for Cornwall. The aim is to boost awareness of the short term rental industry across the region.
