Phil Moir Appointed Construction Director at Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon
Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon has appointed a new Construction Director, promoting from within the business.
New role confirmed
Phil Moir has been named as Construction Director after serving as Construction Manager for the past year. Phil will now lead construction teams across a wide region covering Helston, Bideford and Plymouth, as well as active sites in Newquay, Liskeard, Falmouth and Okehampton.
Before this promotion, Phil also worked as Contracts Manager. He has held several senior roles in the construction sector, including five years at Vistry Group where he worked as Area Build Manager, Area Build Director and site manager. Earlier in his career, he was Area Manager at national electrical contractor Clarkson Evans.
Phil left school at 16 to begin an electrical apprenticeship and has worked across the South West of England throughout his career.
What Phil said
Commenting on his new role, Phil said:
“I am delighted to be taking on this new role for the Cornwall & West Devon business. I’ve really enjoyed making the most of the Contracts Manager and Construction Manager roles in the last two years and am looking forward to doing the same as a director.
“We have high standards to which we hold ourselves at Persimmon and further embedding that into our working practices is something I am more than keen to do.
“With so much to be getting on with, I look forward to working closely with senior management at Persimmon to achieve our mission of building high-quality homes for local people across the region.”

Managing Director Andy Hill also welcomed the appointment.

“The Cornwall & West Devon business has several live and upcoming sites, so having someone of Phil’s calibre leading our construction plans is a huge boost for the team.
