Locked In Escape Rooms in Camborne celebrates 10 years
There is a building just off the A30 in Camborne where people happily pay to be locked in a room with a ticking clock. Ten years on, thousands have done exactly that, and now there is a free game on the table for anyone willing to give it a go.
Locked In Escape Rooms Cornwall is celebrating its 10th birthday on 11th June 2026, marking a decade of escape room games, puzzles and immersive storytelling in the county.
The Camborne based venue is believed to be one of Cornwall’s oldest of its kind. Over the years it has welcomed thousands of players through its doors, from families and friends to tourists, birthday groups and work teams.
Owner Alex Hart, who took over the business before COVID, said the milestone meant a lot.
“Reaching 10 years is a really proud moment. Escape rooms are all about creating memories, and over the years we have seen so many families, friends and teams come through the doors, laugh together, panic together and celebrate together when they escape.”
Alex added: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Locked In over the years, whether that is by booking a game, leaving a review, recommending us to friends or coming back to play again.”

The three games on offer
Locked In currently runs three live escape rooms, each with a different mood.
Puzzle Escape 2.0 is a family friendly game packed with clues, codes and teamwork. The Smokehouse Curse takes a darker, more atmospheric turn, built around a story of a pact with a witch. Pasty Escape rounds things off with a fun Cornish themed challenge.
How to win a free game
To mark the birthday, the venue is running a promotion. Anyone who books a game within 10 days after 11th June will be entered into a prize draw to win a free escape room experience for four people.
The winner will be announced on the Locked In Escape Rooms Cornwall Facebook page.
What comes next
Alex said the plan is for the next chapter to live up to the last decade.
“We want the next chapter of Locked In to be just as exciting as the last 10 years. We are always looking at ways to improve the games, create better experiences and give people a reason to come back.”
New ideas are already in development. That includes plans for a new escape room to eventually replace Pasty Escape, along with growing the venue’s social deduction events through Sleuth Society, with games such as Blood on the Clocktower.
Locked In Escape Rooms Cornwall sits just off the A30 in Camborne, which makes it easy to reach from across Cornwall. Games can be booked at lockedincornwall.com.
