Man Arrested Following Sexual Assault in Camborne – Police Investigation Ongoing

Arrest Made After Early Morning Incident

A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing sexual assault investigation in Camborne.

Police were alerted shortly after 2am on Sunday 2nd February to reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted in the Barripper Road and Boundervean Lane area.

Officers responded quickly, placing a police cordon at the scene while conducting further enquiries.

Suspect in Custody as Investigation Continues

A man in his 20s, from Camborne, has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody while investigations continue.

The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Steph Blundell from the Major Crime Investigation Team said:

“We would like to thank the local community for their assistance and co-operation during this ongoing investigation.”
