Applications Open for £50,000 Charity Grants Supporting Young People

£50,000 for Your Charity? New Funding Round Opens

Charities helping young people into work can now apply for a share of £300,000 as the Persimmon Charitable Foundation opens its funding programme for a second year.

The first round opens on Monday 2nd March, with three donations of £50,000 available for UK-based projects supporting children and young people aged 14 to 25. The focus is on those living in areas of economic and social deprivation.

Increased Funding Pot

The open application programme first launched in 2025, giving more charities the opportunity to access funding from the Foundation.

Last year, 1,210 applications were received. Four £50,000 donations were awarded to registered charities working with young people not in education, employment or training, or identified as being at risk of becoming so.

This year, the total funding pot has increased to £300,000.

Anthony Vigor, Chair of the Foundation, said:

“We were amazed by the response to our open application programme, with 1,210 applications for funding received last year. We want to support more charities working to change outcomes for young people and support them in their education, or into training or work, which is why we’ve increased our funding pot to £300,000 this year.”

Previous Success

With support from the Foundation, Bristol City Robins Charitable Foundation is currently piloting two programmes. One is aimed at 14 to 16-year-olds, and the other supports 18 to 25-year-olds.

The programmes provide tailored mentoring, life skills development and wellbeing support.

How to Apply

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 15th March. Successful applicants will be informed in May.

Registered charities, including those that were unsuccessful in previous rounds, can apply via the Foundation section of the Persimmon Corporate website.
