Bodmin Inner Wheel Supports Bra Recycling with MISH

The Simple Way Your Old Bras Could Help Fight Cancer

A partnership between Bodmin Inner Wheel and MISH in Wadebridge is giving unwanted bras a new purpose, while raising money for charity.

Members of Bodmin Inner Wheel Club say they are delighted to support the recycling of bras through MISH, a bra shop based in Wadebridge, which operates a Bra Bank in partnership with Against Breast Cancer.

How the Bra Bank Works

Bras donated at MISH are recycled through three main routes.

Brand new or recycled bras are sold online via charity partners.

Good quality wearable bras are exported and sold through small businesses overseas. This helps women earn a living and gives bras a valuable second life.

Unwearable bras are broken down into their component parts including fabrics, wires and fastenings. These materials are then recycled responsibly so that nothing ends up in landfill.

Every penny raised through these routes goes directly to Against Breast Cancer, supporting ongoing work into the prevention and treatment of secondary breast cancer.
