Peaky Digital to Walk The Saints Way for CAAP Charity
28 Miles in a Day: Can This Cornwall Team Make It?
A team from Peaky Digital is preparing to take on a demanding coast to coast walk across Cornwall, all in support of a local charity helping families with additional needs.
On Friday 29th May, employees from the Falmouth-based agency will tackle The Saints Way, a route stretching around 28 miles from Padstow on the north coast to Fowey on the south.
Taking On The Saints Way
The challenge will see the team step away from their desks for a full day of walking across some of Cornwall’s most scenic and historic landscapes. Covering the entire route in one day is expected to test both physical and mental endurance.
The effort is part of Peaky Digital’s support for its Charity of the Year, the Cornwall Accessible Activities Programme (CAAP), with the aim of raising both funds and awareness.
Supporting Families Across Cornwall
CAAP is a parent founded charity that supports children and young people aged 0 to 25 with additional needs. It provides inclusive, accessible and affordable activities during school holidays, giving families the chance to enjoy safe and meaningful experiences together.
The charity focuses on breaking down barriers such as accessibility, affordability and inclusion, while helping children build confidence, develop social skills and create lasting memories.
Funds raised through the walk will go directly towards supporting and expanding CAAP’s work across the region.
Team Effort With a Purpose
Natalie Temple, Managing Director at Peaky Digital, said:
“Taking on The Saints Way as a team felt like the perfect way to support CAAP. It’s a real challenge, both physically and mentally, but that’s what makes it so meaningful.
CAAP create opportunities for children with additional needs to feel included, safe and confident, while giving families support that’s often hard to find.
As a team, we wanted to do something that pushes us out of our comfort zones while raising awareness and funds for the organisation. We’re really proud to be supporting CAAP this year, and this is just one of the ways we’re hoping to make a difference.”
Ben Clements, Head of Growth at Peaky Digital, added:
“We wanted to take on a challenge that was genuinely exciting, brought the whole team together and gave us something to work towards and The Saints Way ticked every box. It’s a tough one, but that’s the point!
It’s already created a real buzz in the team, with people training together, and being able to do that while raising money for a local charity like CAAP makes it even more meaningful. It’s something everyone can get behind, and we’re really looking forward to taking it on as a team.”
