Why the harbour has set up a mailing list
After the response to the visit of the Nao Santa Maria, Charlestown Harbour says it received plenty of messages from people wanting to know about vessel arrivals, event timings, volunteering opportunities and what is happening around the harbour.
To make it easier for people to stay in touch, the harbour has launched a Charlestown Harbour mailing list.
The harbour team said they are conscious that not everyone sees social media posts, and they wanted a more direct way of keeping the community informed.
What subscribers will get
According to Charlestown Harbour, the list will be used to share:
- Upcoming events and activities
- Visiting ships and vessel news
- Harbour updates and projects
- Volunteering opportunities
- Seasonal events and special announcements
