Don’t Let the Kids Climb the Walls This Half Term – Let Them Bounce, Swim and Play Instead
Plenty on Offer Across Cornwall’s Better Leisure Centres
Families looking for ways to stay active this May half term are being encouraged to check out the range of activities available at Better leisure centres across Cornwall.
From short courses and junior gym sessions to trampolining, soft play and swimming, the centres have something for all ages. With demand expected to be high during the school break, advanced online booking is recommended.
Where to Find a Better Centre
Better centres are run by GLL, a not-for-profit social enterprise, in Bude, Saltash, Liskeard, St Austell, Bodmin, Newquay, Truro, Helston and St Ives.
Each site offers a mix of indoor swimming pools, gyms and fitness studios. Bodmin also has tennis courts, while Newquay boasts a dedicated trampoline park.
Indoor Fun for All Ages
“We have lots of fun activities to choose from, whatever the weather,” said Amelia Kitchen, GLL senior manager.
“There are fidget ladders, slacklines and performance walls in our trampoline park – as well as dedicated soft play challenges for under 12s and a baby and toddler area.
“Our fun pools have flumes and a range of water features to keep everyone happy and our laned swimming pools are excellent for learning to swim and keeping fit.”
