Train to Be a Nurse in Cornwall
Did you know that you can train to become a nurse in Cornwall? University Centre Truro & Penwith offers a highly successful Access to Nursing course at its Truro campus, taught by qualified nurses. Last year, the course saw an impressive achievement rate of 20% above the national average, with students progressing to study adult nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, mental health nursing, and social work.
Success for Nursing Graduates
Many students who complete the Access to Nursing course continue their studies through the Centre’s Nursing Degree programmes. Remarkably, 100% of this summer’s nursing graduates gained employment in healthcare, highlighting the effectiveness of the training provided.
A Unique Opportunity in the South West
In addition to the nursing programmes, University Centre Truro & Penwith is the only provider of the Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) course in both Devon and Cornwall. This course equips students with the necessary skills to provide high-quality care to surgical patients, further broadening the scope of healthcare training available in the region.
Applications are now open for both the Access to Nursing and Nursing and Allied Health degree programmes. For more information, visit truro-penwith.ac.uk/uni.
