The call to Hawkers Cove
HM Coastguard Padstow was tasked at 2.08pm on Sunday 13 September to reports of an injured walker on the coast path at Hawkers Cove, near Padstow. The callout was logged as incident 61 of 2026.
When the coastguard rescue team arrived, members of the public were already helping the casualty, who had collapsed several times while walking.
From the coast path to the old lifeboat station
The team gave casualty care first aid, then helped the walker to the Old Lifeboat Station at Hawkers Cove, where a first responder met them.
An ambulance from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust arrived shortly afterwards, and the casualty was handed over for further assessment and treatment.
No details of the walker’s condition have been released.
