Members of the Plymouth and Truro District Oddfellows Friendship Groups in Redruth, Truro and Plymouth enjoyed a series of social gatherings during February, bringing people together for friendship, games and plenty of refreshments.

Fun and Friendship Across Three Towns

The February get togethers included lively beetle drives, with plenty of laughter and friendly competition. Members were treated to light refreshments, including teas, coffees, chocolate biscuits, fresh fruit and sweets.

In Plymouth, some members travelled up from Cornwall to join the group for a lunch, adding to the social feel of the day.

Support and What’s Coming Up

Alongside the social activities, members were kept informed about the support available to them. A welfare update outlined member grants for dental and optical care, emergency grants, access to a members’ advice line and legal support.

There was also information shared about upcoming activities, including free chair yoga sessions and lunch groups.

Raffles were held during the gatherings, with proceeds going towards local charities as well as the free book club. Members also received free RFID bank card protection pockets and puzzle sheets to take home.
