What’s coming
Strong winds and heavy rain are expected overnight and into Friday morning (23 October).
In response, Cormac has increased its resources and has additional crews on standby. They’ll be ready to deal with problems such as fallen trees, flooding and debris on the highway.
What changes on Friday
Some routine work may be scaled back on Friday. That frees up teams to focus on keeping key routes open and supporting communities affected by the storm.
What to do if you spot a problem
You can report emergency highway issues to Cormac’s highways team by calling 0300 1234 222. The line runs 24 hours a day.
That covers things like:
- Flooding
- Fallen debris
- Standing water
- Unsafe roads
