Can They Go the Distance? Cornwall Air Ambulance Fundraisers Take on Tough Challenges
Four members of the Cornwall Air Ambulance fundraising team are swapping their usual roles for personal endurance tests as they push to raise money in the final months of the HELi2 Appeal.
Donna, Bobby, Sherelle, and Morwenna have been training for months, preparing to take on a series of physically demanding challenges in a bid to boost donations for the life-saving service.
Taking on the Challenge
Each fundraiser is stepping into uncharted territory with their chosen event:
- Donna will tackle her first-ever marathon at the Manchester Marathon on 27th April, pushing herself over a gruelling 26.2 miles.
- Bobby will face the extreme test of a Hyrox event in Malaga on 22nd March, an intense fitness challenge designed to test endurance, strength, and determination.
- Morwenna and Sherelle are both preparing for their first half marathon, running in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April, an event known for its scenic route past some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks.
Aiming for the Finish Line
The team is hoping to raise £1,500, with £590 (39%) already raised towards their goal. Funds will go towards keeping the Cornwall Air Ambulance flying, ensuring the service continues its vital work across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Supporters can follow their progress and donate via their JustGiving page.
Every donation helps keep this life-saving service in the air, ready to respond to emergencies when every second counts.
