Amy Smith Is Leaving Cornwall Airport Newquay After 11 Years

Eleven years is a long stretch at any one business. For Amy Smith, the most recent chapter, as the airport’s Interim Managing Director, is the one she is now closing.

Cornwall Airport Newquay has confirmed that Amy Smith is leaving to take up a new opportunity within the aviation industry. She has been part of the airport for 11 years, a period that ran through a run of changes including operational milestones, airline developments and terminal upgrades, alongside the airport’s growth as a transport gateway for Cornwall. Most recently she led the business as Interim Managing Director through what the airport describes as a period of transition.

“After 11 years at Cornwall Airport Newquay, I have decided the time is right for me to move on to a new opportunity within the industry. It has been a privilege to work with such a dedicated and passionate team, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. CAN is a very special place, and I will leave with many fond memories and every confidence in its future success.”
