Cornwall Airport Newquay Reports 16,049 Passengers in February

Despite a month filled with gloomy weather and plenty of conversations starting with “This weather…”, February was still a busy period at Cornwall Airport Newquay.

Figures shared by the airport show that 16,049 passengers travelled through the terminal during the month, while aircraft continued to arrive and depart regularly.

A Busy Month In The Air

During February, the airport recorded 1,071 air traffic movements, highlighting steady activity even during the quieter winter period.

According to the airport, around 96% of conversations during the month started with a familiar theme about the weather, reflecting the conditions many experienced across the region.

Stansted Named Destination Of The Month

London Stansted was highlighted as February’s destination of the month, with flights operated by Ryanair.

The route offers passengers connections into London and further afield. Travellers can board the Stansted Express train and reach London Liverpool Street in under an hour. Stansted also serves as a hub for onward flights to destinations across Europe.

Load factor figures for the Stansted route reached 82% during February.
