New Road Closures at Cornwall Airport Newquay: 17th & 18th October
Cornwall Airport Newquay has announced upcoming road closures as part of its Next Generation Security Upgrade, with work scheduled for the nights of 17th and 18th October. These partial road closures will take place along ‘New Road’, the road outside the airport terminal.
When Will the Closures Occur?
The road will be closed between 20:30 and 05:30 on both nights. The closure will affect the section between the East and West car parks. Despite these closures, vehicles will still be able to access all public car parks, including P3, East, and West car parks.
Why Are These Closures Happening?
The road closures are necessary to allow the delivery of key modules for the airport’s new passenger screening building. The upgrades are a vital part of Cornwall Airport Newquay’s efforts to enhance security measures, with completion expected by the end of this year.
What Does This Mean for Passengers?
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly during these times. Cornwall Airport Newquay expressed its gratitude for the public’s patience as these essential works take place.
