Big Changes Coming to Cornwall’s Car Parks – Is Your Regular Spot Affected?
Six of Cornwall’s pay-on-exit car parks are set to return to the traditional pay-and-display system over the coming months, Cornwall Council has announced. The changes, which will take place between now and April, will see the removal of the pay-on-exit barrier system at the affected locations.
Which Car Parks Are Changing?
Drivers who regularly park in the following locations will need to adjust to the new system:
- Millpool, Looe
- St Georges Road, Newquay
- The Manor, Newquay
- Harbour, Penzance
- Trenwith, St Ives
- Island, St Ives
What You Need to Know
The council will notify motorists of the exact switchover dates by placing signs at car park entrances and payment terminals in advance. Drivers are encouraged to check the signs before leaving their vehicle to ensure they pay correctly under the new system.
