Cornwall Council Opens Applications for 2026 Summer Work Placement Programme
Cornwall Council has opened applications for its 2026 Summer Work Placement Programme.
The paid programme is aimed at people from disadvantaged backgrounds who want to build confidence, gain real workplace experience and explore careers in local government.

Starting This July
The placement begins in July 2026. Participants will work on meaningful projects, develop new skills and support services that make a difference to residents across Cornwall.
No previous experience is required. According to the council, applicants simply need enthusiasm and a desire to have an impact.
