Thousands of Jellyfish Washed Up on Cornish Beaches in September – Did You Spot Them?
Last month, Cornish beaches were inundated with thousands of jellyfish, with reports of mauve stingers washing ashore throughout September. Gorran Haven beach was one of the affected areas, where beachgoers encountered the jellyfish.

Sting in September’s Tail
The mauve stinger may be small, but it delivers a painful sting. Its bell-shaped body features warty structures filled with stinging cells, while its long tentacles can pack a punch for anyone who comes too close.
