Appeal launched after serious A30 crash near Sennen

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist in his 50s was seriously injured in a collision with a car on the A30 near Sennen.

What happened

Emergency services were called at around 4.20pm on Tuesday 18 August to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle at the junction of the A30 with the B3306.

The rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital. The occupants of the car were not hurt.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team have thanked the public for their patience while the road was closed following the collision.

Appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage

The force is now appealing for anyone with information that could assist the ongoing investigation, including dash-cam footage from the stretch of the A30 around the B3306 junction that afternoon.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Devon & Cornwall Police or call 101, quoting log 616 of 18 August.

Officers say that applies whether or not a driver believes their footage shows anything significant. Every clip from that afternoon is being asked for, in the hope one of them fills in what happened at the junction.
