Safer Cornwall wants to know how safe you feel in 2026

Do you feel safe walking home after dark in your own town? Would you know how to report a hate incident, or who to tell if you have witnessed anti-social behaviour on your street? Safer Cornwall wants an honest answer, and it is asking the whole county to give one.

What the survey asks

The Community Safety Survey 2026 is open now, and it covers a wide spread of everyday issues rather than one narrow topic. Residents are asked about crime and anti-social behaviour, how safe they feel during the day and at night, domestic abuse, hate crime and hate incidents, whether they have witnessed crime in their local area, and the community safety concerns that affect daily life. It takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete and every response is anonymous.

Why Safer Cornwall wants your view

Safer Cornwall says the answers will help local agencies better understand the issues affecting communities across the county, and will be used to shape future priorities and support services. For a partnership covering everywhere from the Isles of Scilly to the Tamar, that means the survey is one of the more direct ways an individual resident’s day-to-day experience can feed into county-wide decisions.

How to take part

The survey can be completed online at letstalk.cornwall.gov.uk/safer-cornwall-have-your-say, or by scanning the QR code on Safer Cornwall’s own post. It stays open to anyone who lives, works or spends time in Cornwall, and Safer Cornwall is encouraging people to share the survey on to reach as many residents as possible.
