Monday 11th May
The week kicks off with speed detection officers working in West and Mid Cornwall, Mid Devon and East Devon. That puts a sizeable stretch of the Cornish road network within scope on the first day of operations.
Tuesday 12th May
On the 12th, the focus shifts eastwards. Officers will be primarily working in East Cornwall, Exeter, South Devon and East Devon. Drivers crossing the Tamar or travelling along the south coast should take note.

Friday 15th May
The 15th sees no Cornwall coverage. Officers will instead be working in Exeter, Mid Devon, South Hams and North Devon as the working week draws to a close.
Saturday 16th May
Weekend operations begin in Exeter and East Devon on the 16th, with the team focusing on two areas rather than the wider spread seen on weekdays.

Sunday 17th May
The week wraps up with a single area of focus. Officers will be working in Mid Devon on the 17th.
Cornwall In Focus
Across the seven days, Cornwall features on three of them. West and Mid Cornwall will see activity on both Monday and Thursday, while East Cornwall is covered on Tuesday. Drivers in the far west, mid Cornwall and the east of the county all fall within the operational areas at some point during the week.
The middle and end of the week, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, see speed detection activity concentrated entirely in Devon.
A Reminder For Drivers
The road safety team published the schedule alongside a straightforward ask, urging motorists to drive safely and stick within the speed limits wherever they happen to be on the road.
Publishing the locations in advance is a deliberate move by the force. The schedules are posted weekly on social media, giving drivers no shortage of warning about where officers will be carrying out enforcement work.
Speed detection operations have become a regular fixture in the Devon and Cornwall Police calendar, with the force publishing their planned locations on a weekly basis. Drivers who want to stay informed can keep an eye on the road safety team’s posts for the schedule covering the week ahead.
