Two men held on Spit Beach footpath after Par Docks security call
It started with a report from security staff at Par Docks. It ended with two men spending the night in custody.

What was reported at Par Docks
On the afternoon of Saturday 26 September, officers from St Austell Police‘s patrol and neighbourhood teams went to the Imerys Par Docks site.
Security there had reported men trespassing on the site and stealing metal cabling.
Found on the path to Spit Beach
Officers found two men matching the description they had been given on a footpath leading to Spit Beach.
According to police, the pair had metal cabling with them, along with items used to commit theft. Both were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Released on bail
The two men were held in police custody overnight. Following their interviews, they have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
St Austell Police described the arrests as “excellent work by our teams”.
