Where Cornwall’s Speed Cameras Will Be Watching, 8th to 14th June

Published On: 8 June 2026Last Updated: 8 June 2026By

If you have a habit of drifting a few miles an hour over the limit, this is the week to keep half an eye on the speedo.

Devon & Cornwall Police Road Safety Team has set out where its speed detection officers will primarily be working over the next seven days, in the week running from Monday 8th June to Sunday 14th June. The list stretches right across the two counties, from the far west of Cornwall to East Devon. Look closely, though, and one thing jumps out. There is barely a day when some part of Cornwall is off the list.

Where the officers will be each day

Here is the full breakdown the team has shared for the week:

  • Monday 8th June: East and Mid Cornwall, North Devon, Teignbridge
  • Tuesday 9th June: West, Mid and East Cornwall, Plymouth, South Devon, North Devon, East Devon
  • Wednesday 10th June: Mid and East Cornwall, North and Mid Devon, Torbay
  • Thursday 11th June: Mid and East Cornwall, North Devon, South Hams, Torbay
  • Friday 12th June: West, East and Mid Cornwall, South and East Devon, Plymouth
  • Saturday 13th June: East and Mid Cornwall
  • Sunday 14th June: East and Mid Cornwall

The two days with the widest coverage

If the schedule has a peak, it falls on Tuesday and Friday. Both days see the team spread across the most ground, taking in all three named parts of Cornwall (West, Mid and East) alongside a string of Devon locations including Plymouth, South Devon and East Devon.

By contrast, the quietest entries are at the weekend, when the list narrows right down. More on that below.

Cornwall features every single day

The pattern is hard to miss. East and Mid Cornwall appear on the list every day, from Monday right through to Sunday. There is no day this week when those two areas are not flagged for attention.

West Cornwall gets a turn on the two busiest days, Tuesday and Friday. So while the far west is not on the daily list in the same way, it lines up with the two days the team is covering the most ground.

Devon’s coverage is more scattered

Across the border, the picture is patchier. North Devon is one of the more frequent entries, showing up on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Torbay appears on Wednesday and Thursday, while Plymouth, South Devon and East Devon are each pencilled in for Tuesday and Friday.

A handful of areas get a single mention across the whole week. Teignbridge is listed only on Monday, Mid Devon only on Wednesday, and the South Hams only on Thursday.

The weekend is Cornwall only

Saturday and Sunday are the shortest entries on the list, and they are also the only two days with no Devon locations at all. On both days the team’s focus is given simply as East and Mid Cornwall.

The team has described these as the areas where officers will primarily be working, which does not rule out checks turning up elsewhere across the week.
