You Won’t Believe What’s Rolling Into Eden This Easter
A brand new permanent play experience is arriving at the Eden Project just in time for the Easter holidays.
The Giant Marble Runs will officially open on 28th March 2026, giving visitors something completely new to explore across Eden’s gardens this spring.

Over 100 Metres of Marble Run Fun
The installation features more than 100 metres of interactive wooden track, spread across eight unique runs that weave throughout the gardens.
Visitors of all ages will be invited to follow beautifully carved wooden marbles as they twist, turn and tumble through Eden’s sprawling outdoor spaces. Designed to encourage people to get outside and play in nature, the runs combine exploration with hands-on fun.
Crafted from sustainably sourced natural materials, the Giant Marble Runs aim to spark curiosity, encourage problem solving and create shared moments of discovery.
Along the route, there are a range of playful elements including spinning maze tables, hand powered lifts, aerial runs, tumbling towers, coil runs and chiming channels. Together, they create what Eden describes as a flowing, immersive adventure.
Designed to Grow Over Time
Much like the gardens themselves, the Giant Marble Runs are designed to evolve. New sections will be added in the future, continuing to build on Eden’s focus on explorative, nature led play.
The new attraction joins Eden’s existing outdoor play areas. In 2023, the charity opened Nature’s Playground, featuring its towering tree of life, babbling brook, woodland adventure and giant watercourse.
A Fitting Addition for Eden’s 25th Anniversary
Simon Townsend, general manager at the Eden Project, said:
“Outdoor play is vital for children’s development, nurturing creativity, physical fitness and a deeper connection to the natural world. As an educational charity, we’re committed to inspiring learning, development, a connection to nature, and play, and the Giant Marble Runs deliver exactly that. As a permanent addition to our gardens, this new experience is a celebration of everything Eden stands for and a fitting highlight for our 25th anniversary.”

How It Works
Visitors will receive a specially crafted wooden marble, designed to glide seamlessly through the runs, in exchange for a £5 returnable deposit.
At the end of the experience, marbles can be returned to reclaim the deposit or kept for a future visit. The system is expected to appeal to local pass holders, annual pass holders and members.
