Win Omaze’s £3.5m Cornwall House Before Sunday’s Deadline

There are just four days left to enter the draw that could hand one person the keys to a multi-million-pound Cornish home, and the clock is ticking towards Sunday.

The Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Cornwall closes to online entries on Sunday 31st May, with one winner set to receive a £3.5 million house in Cornwall alongside a £250,000 cash prize. Postal entries have until Tuesday 2nd June 2026.

But the draw is about more than one life-changing windfall. Every entry contributes to a guaranteed £1 million donation to support the development of Eden Project Morecambe, a new destination set to open in the North West in 2028.

Where the money goes

The funding will support work on Eden Project Morecambe, a new destination for the charity focused on nature, education and wellbeing. It is designed to create hundreds of green jobs and contribute to long-term economic and social renewal in the North West.

The project secured planning permission in February 2026 and is being delivered in partnership with Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster University, with support from UK Government investment. It has been designed to complement the heritage of the promenade, including the Midland Hotel and the Grade II* listed Winter Gardens.

At its heart will be two immersive, shell-inspired superstructures: the bright, tropical Realm of the Sun, centred around a dramatic 18 metre Elder Tree, and the atmospheric Realm of the Moon, inspired by the tidal rhythms, landscapes and stories of Morecambe Bay.

25 years on from Cornwall

The draw comes as the Eden Project marks 25 years since it opened in Cornwall. Since 2001, Eden Cornwall has welcomed more than 25 million visitors, contributed £6.8 billion to the South West economy, sustained an average of 700 jobs each year, and enabled more than one million schoolchildren to take part in nature-based learning.

Andy Jasper, CEO of the Eden Project, said the new project draws directly on that experience. “Eden Project Morecambe is built on everything we’ve learned over the past 25 years in Cornwall. That experience shows that sustained investment in nature, skills and education can deliver lasting benefits for people and places,” Andy said.

He added: “The guaranteed £1 million raised through this partnership provides important momentum as we move forward. We’re excited to see the total raised after the online draw closes on 31 May and encourage everyone who can to take part.”

The people behind the numbers

The press release points to Eden’s impact through individual careers as well as economic figures. Creative programme producer Kate Francis joined the Eden Project in Cornwall at 18, fresh out of college and unsure of her direction. Now 42, Kate trained as a guide, discovered a passion for cultural plant history, and went on to lead rainforest tours and tell the stories of plants that underpin human civilisation. She later helped establish Eden’s workshop team, a programme that evolved into Eden Live, now responsible for the destination’s seasonal and cultural programmes.

A track record for the North West

The new Morecambe destination is expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction and operation, attract year-round visitors, and support local businesses and cultural partners across Lancashire and Cumbria.

The £1 million donation will form part of a mixed, long-term funding model combining philanthropy, partnerships, grants and public support, the same approach that allowed Eden Project Cornwall to grow into a globally recognised destination. At the end of 2025, Eden announced more than £2 million in funding from the National Lottery Climate Action Fund for a UK-wide nature connection and recovery programme rolling out across six locations, including Morecambe, over the next three years.
