Creative printing with Lego

A unique Lego letterpress printing experience will take place on 8th and 9th April, with sessions running from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.

The workshops, run by Bristol Common Press, give visitors the chance to explore the art of letterpress using 3D printed type. Participants can create their own messages or designs using a mix of letters and image blocks before printing their work on a portable press.

The drop-in sessions are designed to be family-friendly, offering a hands-on way to explore traditional printing in a creative and playful setting. Visitors will also be able to take home their own printed creation.

Springtime butterfly crafts

Younger visitors and families can also take part in spring-themed craft sessions on 7th and 16th April from 10am to 12pm.

These sessions focus on making butterflies and caterpillars using materials such as wool, pipe cleaners and tissue paper. The activity is inspired by Cornwall’s wildlife and encourages visitors to create decorations for a nature table at home.

Visitors can also look through books about butterflies in Cornwall available at the venue for inspiration.

Free and open to all

All activities are free to attend, with no booking required. Visitors can simply drop in during the session times.

With a mix of creative learning and hands-on fun, the sessions offer a simple way for families to get involved in something different over the Easter break.
