Somewhere in Falmouth town centre, six spooky characters are lurking in shop windows, waiting for small detectives to track them down. They are the centrepiece of a week of Halloween fun across the town this half term, with after-dark ghost walks, free facepainting and local businesses battling it out for the most ghoulish window in town.

The LoveFalmouth Halloween programme runs from Saturday 24 October to Saturday 31 October, and offers three ways for residents and visitors to join in.

LoveFalmouth is the brand used by Falmouth Town Team, a public-private partnership between Falmouth Town Council and Falmouth BID (Business Improvement District). The same team is behind the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival and Falmouth Week.

A trail for little monsters

New for 2026, the free Halloween Trail challenges families to find six spooky characters hidden in shop windows across the town centre.

Worksheets can be picked up from Falmouth Library throughout half term, from Saturday 24 October to Saturday 31 October, while stocks last. Once all six characters have been found, trail hunters can head to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall to collect a prize.

It is worth checking the library’s opening times before setting out.

They run at 6pm every night from Monday 26 October to Saturday 31 October, with extra 5pm tours added on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October.
