Falmouth’s Bonfire Night gets a fireworks display at Pendennis Castle
Bonfire Night in Falmouth is about to get its sky-lit finale after all. A one-off fireworks display has been organised at Pendennis Castle for Thursday 5 November, bringing back the kind of spectacle the town missed out on back in August.

A late replacement for a cancelled show
Falmouth Town Team, with backing from the Town Mayor, will host the display at 7pm. It follows the cancellation of the Falmouth Week fireworks show in August, and organisers have used the months since to put together an alternative for this year rather than let the town go without.
Richard Gates, Falmouth Town Manager, said the team is “delighted to be able to bring a special one-off fireworks display to Falmouth this November.” He added: “Following the cancellation of the Falmouth Week display back in August, we’ve been able to look at an alternative opportunity for this year and make sure the town doesn’t miss out, with Pendennis Castle providing a spectacular backdrop.”
What we still don’t know
Road closures and viewing arrangements haven’t been confirmed yet. Organisers say further details on both will be released closer to the event, so anyone planning to head down on the night will want to keep an eye out nearer the date.
For now, the diary date is set: Thursday 5 November, 7pm, at Falmouth’s Pendennis Castle.
