Falmouth’s Dark Pony Coffee Named in The Best Coffee Shops UK 2026

Falmouth’s Dark Pony Coffee has been named in The Best Coffee Shops UK 2026, earning the distinction of being the only café in Cornwall or Devon to feature on the national list.

The recognition comes from Time Out, with Dark Pony included in The 44 greatest coffee shops in Britain, which can be viewed here.

Only Pick in Cornwall and Devon

Dark Pony Coffee, based on the Moor in the heart of Falmouth, stood out as the sole representative from both Cornwall and Devon in the 2026 selection.

The list highlights coffee shops judged against a rigorous set of criteria defining world-class hospitality. These include:

Founded in 2022

Dark Pony Coffee was founded in May 2022 by friends Mael, Grace and Jacob, who shared a passion and experience for coffee. Together, they set up the Dark Pony roastery and coffee shop with a simple aim of championing exceptional coffee.

From sourcing and roasting to packaging, distributing and serving, the team carries out the entire process in-house in Cornwall, showcasing the work of some of the world’s best producers.
