St Austell Brewery and St. Ewe Launch Tribute Eggstra Beer

Two Cornish businesses have teamed up to create what is being described as the world’s first high protein beer brewed with eggs.

St Austell Brewery and St. Ewe have launched Tribute Eggstra, a limited-edition cask ale that builds on the brewery’s flagship Tribute pale ale, but with an unusual twist.

A Unique Take on Tribute

The beer is brewed using free-range St. Ewe eggs, giving it what early tasters describe as a rich and velvety character.

According to those who have tried it, the flavour is:

“lightly malty, smooth as a yolk, with a subtle custard finish…surprisingly drinkable”.

Protein Packed Pint

Beyond its flavour, Tribute Eggstra is also said to offer some unexpected benefits.

The beer is described as being high in protein, making it suitable for pre or post exercise, and even pitched as a possible breakfast pint.

A spokesperson for the collaboration said:
“It’s a cracking good brew – though we do recommend gentle pouring to avoid any omelette incidents.”

One Day Only

Tribute Eggstra Special will be available for just one day on 1st April, making it a short-lived addition for those curious enough to try it.

Described as a “protein packed pint” with “free-range flavour that will whisk you away”, the release brings together two well-known Cornish names in a way that is unlikely to go unnoticed.
