Hatchs Hill in Angarrack set to close for a day of tree work
If Hatchs Hill is part of your daily drive, Friday 6 November is a day to plan around.
The road through Angarrack will be shut for most of the day while works to trees are carried out, and the signed way round is a fair bit longer than the stretch it replaces.

When and where the road closes
Hatchs Hill will be closed from 7.30am to 5pm on Friday 6 November. The closed section runs between Grist Lane and Nanpusker Road.
Cornwall Council’s Streetworks team has approved the closure as a temporary prohibition of traffic under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Hayle Town Council has shared the notice with people in and around Hayle.
The diversion route
A signed diversion will be in place for the day. The map published with the closure shows it taking traffic up Steamers Hill and along Angarrack Lane, then back along Connor Hill and Carwin Rise, down Guildford Road and on to Nanpusker Road.
You can see the full route, the closure point and the associated documents on the one.network map for the Hatchs Hill closure.
Residents, businesses and deliveries
The council has reminded the applicant that it has undertaken to tell everyone known to be directly affected. That includes bus companies where relevant, residents and businesses along the closed length, and traders who may need to make deliveries or collections in the area.
The applicant and its contractors are also responsible for putting up, maintaining and taking down all the signs needed for the closure.
