Cornwall’s 2026/27 Winter Wellbeing Guide has something new inside

Winter is hard on a lot of Cornish households. A free new guide is trying to get useful help into people’s hands before the cold months turn small problems into big ones.

The 2026/27 Winter Wellbeing Guide has just launched, and it gathers practical advice, support information and local contacts for residents in one place. It costs nothing.

Where to pick up a copy

Printed copies are available from libraries, Jobcentres, foodbanks, GP surgeries, pharmacies, Family and Community Hubs and Cornwall Council offices.

If you’d rather read it on screen, a digital version can be downloaded from the Winter Wellbeing page on the Cornwall Council website.

The guide has been produced by Inclusion Cornwall in partnership with the Council’s Public Health team, the Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF) and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB).

What’s inside the guide

It’s aimed at anyone who could do with a little extra support, whether that’s for themselves, their family, friends or neighbours. It includes:

• Practical advice for keeping warm and well
• Information on financial support and energy-saving help
• Details of free independent advice services
• Key contacts for local organisations and support agencies
• Health, wellbeing and home safety information

A new section for the hotter months

Following the summer heatwaves, this year’s edition also carries a new Summer Wellbeing section. It offers advice on staying safe and healthy during periods of hot weather, so the guide is worth keeping hold of well beyond the winter.
