Social bike rides and free repair session in Camborne and Redruth

A steady loop, a bit of company and a slice of cake at the end of it. The Cornwall Bicycle Project has three events running across Camborne and Redruth this summer, and one of them will not cost you a penny.

The group, set up in 2020, is behind a run of social rides in July and a hands-on repair session for older riders in August. All three are being booked through Eventbrite.

Wednesday morning rides in Camborne

The morning ride is a steady social loop around Carn Brea, followed by coffee and cake at The Croust Hut. It runs on Wednesday 15th and 29th July at 9:30am, starting from The Croust Hut, Troon, Camborne TR14 9HW.

Wednesday afternoon rides in Redruth

For anyone who prefers the afternoon, there is a steady social ride around Redruth with a cafe visit afterwards. Those dates are also Wednesday 15th and 29th July, this time at 1:30pm, meeting at The Elms, 61 Green Lane, Redruth TR15 1LS.

Both rides are pitched as steady and social rather than fast, so pace should not put anyone off.

Free repair class for over 55s

The third event is a Learn to Fix session for anyone aged 55 and over, and it is free. It takes place on Wednesday 19th August from 10am to noon at The Cornwall Bicycle Project, Formal Business Park, E2, Camborne TR14 0PY.

All three events are run alongside Live Longer Better in Cornwall.
