Helston Community Town Tidy heads to Cades Parc and Tenderah Road
Grab a litter picker and a hi-vis vest. Helston Town Council is asking residents to spare whatever time they can, from half an hour to a full afternoon, to help tidy two of the town’s streets later this month.

What’s happening, and where
Helston Town Council is running a Community Town Tidy on Tuesday 29 September, starting at 2pm. Volunteers are asked to meet at Wellmore Play Park before litter picking Cades Parc and Tenderah Road. It’s the latest street-level clean-up the council has organised for Helston this year.
Equipment provided, and no minimum time
Everything needed for the session will be provided, including hi-vis vests, gloves, litter picking tools and rubbish bags, though anyone who would rather bring their own is welcome to. There is no set time commitment either. Volunteers can join for half an hour or stay for the whole session, and the council says all support is welcome, however long people can spare.
Registering, and what happens if the weather turns
Nobody needs to sign up in advance to take part. Residents who would like to register can email [email protected], and registered attendees will be told directly if the session has to be cancelled because of bad weather. Anyone who hasn’t registered is asked to keep an eye on the council’s social media for updates instead.
