Land Near St Ives and Properties Across Cornwall Listed for Auction
A stretch of land overlooking one of Cornwall’s best known beaches is set to go under the hammer later this month with a guide price of £15,000 plus.
The site above Porthkidney Beach at Lelant, near St Ives, forms part of a large property auction featuring land, homes and commercial buildings across Cornwall.
The three acre plot is among 186 lots listed in the second auction of 2026 by Clive Emson Auctioneers, which is one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK. The online auction concludes on Thursday 26th March, with bidding live from 48 hours beforehand.

Beach and Estuary Land in West Cornwall
The freehold site overlooking Porthkidney Beach measures about 1.16 hectares (2.88 acres) and offers views across the coastline.
Senior Auction Appraiser Katie Semmens said: “This is an exciting opportunity to acquire your own section of Cornish beach and cliff land.
“It is situated in a truly idyllic setting just above Porthkidney Beach with breathtaking views over the beach itself and over to Hayle beach and Towans.”
Two further parcels of land forming part of the Hayle Estuary are also listed in the sale with a freehold guide of £5,000 plus. Located alongside Hayle Terrace, the plots extend to about 1.57 hectares (3.88 acres).
Katie Semmens said: “The plots are located centrally within Hayle town with a variety of amenities close by, and views over the estuary itself and across to King George’s Walk.”
Elsewhere in Hayle, a parcel of land next to Glebe Row in Phillack has a freehold guide of £10,000 plus and measures about 0.99 hectares (2.46 acres).
Another lot in Phillack is a strip of woodland next to Parc An Dix Lane. The site measures 0.71 hectares (1.75 acres), has a guide price of £5,000 plus and is a short walk from King George’s Walk, the estuary and quay.
Former Bank Building in Helston
A former Lloyds Bank building in Helston town centre is also expected to attract interest.
The property in Market Place has a freehold guide of £120,000 plus and occupies a prominent corner position. It includes two basements, a ground floor and a first floor.
Inside there is a banking hall, clerks’ area, offices, lift, safe room, eight offices, store rooms, WC and kitchen. The property is being auctioned jointly with Lawskowski & Co.

Redevelopment Opportunities
In Penzance, a commercial property on the Causeway has a freehold guide price of £155,000 plus and already has planning permission for redevelopment.
Consent has been granted for partial retention of the ground floor commercial unit and conversion of the upper floors and rear ground floor into four flats.
Katie Semmens said: “This deceptively spacious freehold property is situated within the centre of Penzance along the popular pedestrianised Causewayhead, which includes a good range of retail amenities and residential properties.”
The Penzance area also features Mrs Joes Cottage in Tremethick Cross, a character two bedroom home with garage, communal off road parking and a garden. It has a freehold guide of £100,000 plus and is being auctioned jointly with Andrew Exelby Estate Agents.
In Truro, a commercial property in a prominent trading position in the city centre carries a guide price of £110,000 plus. Auctioneers say it may appeal to investors or those who see potential for conversion to part or full residential use, subject to the necessary consents.

Homes and Land Across Cornwall
A semi detached house with two bedrooms in Greenwith Crescent, Perranwell Station, south of Truro, has a guide price of £115,000 to £125,000.
Two detached bungalows in Polvellan Terrace near Looe town centre also feature in the sale with a guide price of £150,000 plus.
Auction Appraiser James Lofthouse said: “These detached bungalows are situated in an elevated position close to the town centre, which has its own working fishing port, beach and range of other amenities.
“They require a programme of improvement and offer potential for owner occupation, letting or resale post works.”
In St Austell, a two bedroom bungalow in Bethel Road has a freehold guide price of £65,000 plus.
James Lofthouse said: “This bungalow is in a pleasant residential location on a good sized plot.
“It offers potential for extension upwards or outwards, or total replacement, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
Land in Montgomery Road, Penwithick, St Austell, is also included with a guide price of £10,000 plus. Cornwall Council has instructed the sale.
In Camborne, land behind Trelowarren Street has a freehold guide price of £28,000 plus and already has planning permission for a single detached home.
Farmland Near Polzeath
Agricultural land at Roserrow Farm, St Minver, near Wadebridge, is also going to auction.
The parcel measures 3.09 hectares (7.63 acres) and has a guide price of £75,000. It backs onto The Point at Polzeath.
James Lofthouse said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a parcel of agricultural land in a popular and sought after area close to the coastal village of Polzeath and the market town of Wadebridge.
“It backs on to The Point at Polzeath, a popular North Cornwall destination offering a championship golf course with stunning estuary views, a health club and holiday cottages.”
Also listed is a three bedroom semi detached house in Wadebridge Road, St Tudy, near Bodmin, with a guide price of £115,000 to £125,000.
More Lots Across the County
Near Liskeard, an end terrace property at Woodland Cottages, Upton Cross, has a freehold guide of £70,000 plus.
James Lofthouse said: “This three bedroom house is situated in a rural setting between Plushabridge and Upton Cross.
“it is part of a row of three homes and offers potential for owner occupation, letting or resale following improvement works.”
In Liskeard town centre, a one bedroom flat in Pike Street has a leasehold guide price of £40,000 plus with the remainder of a 999 year lease from December 2006.
A semi detached bungalow in Moorland Way, Gunnislake, also carries a guide price of £40,000 plus.
Two small parcels of land in the Saltash area have also been listed by Cornwall Council. One in Sycamore Road, Latchbrook, measures about 0.02 hectares and has a guide price of £2,500 plus, while another nearby plot measuring about 0.01 hectares has a guide price of £250 plus.
The auction concludes on Thursday 26th March, with bidding opening 48 hours beforehand.
