Land’s End to Launch Summer-Long Drone Show in 2026

One of Cornwall’s most established summer events is set for a major transformation in 2026.

Land’s End has announced a significant investment into its flagship Magic in the Skies evenings, confirming that a brand-new drone light show will launch as part of the programme from summer 2026.

The development marks what Land’s End describes as a major evolution of the event, and it will be the first summer-long drone show of its kind in Cornwall.

A New Chapter for Magic in the Skies

For more than two decades, Land’s End has hosted its Magic in the Skies firework nights throughout the peak summer season. The events attract tens of thousands of visitors each year and generate significant economic benefit for the local area.

The new drone display will enhance the existing format rather than replace it. Fireworks will remain, with the drone show adding a second element to create a two-part evening spectacle.

The show will blend modern drone choreography with music and storytelling inspired by Cornwall’s landscape, coast and heritage.

Land’s End says the introduction of drone technology is a carefully considered next step, responding to evolving audience expectations while building on the event’s long-standing success.

Partnership With Cornish Tech Start-Up

The drone show forms part of a long-term partnership with Afterglow, an emerging Cornish drone technology business.
