There will be sheep at church this Christmas Eve. Probably not the only surprise, either, as the Parish of Wadebridge has set out three festive dates for the coming weeks, from a Saturday of shopping to a quiz with wine on arrival.

One of them has become so popular that it has had to split in two.

Christmas Craft Fayre at Egloshayle Church

First up is the Christmas Craft Fayre at Egloshayle Church on Saturday 21 November, running from 10am to 4pm.

Stalls will cover local crafts, homemade produce, plants, textiles, ceramics, books and more. A raffle and refreshments will run through the day, so you can stop for a cuppa between stalls and maybe tick off a few presents while supporting local makers in the heart of Wadebridge.

  • Venue: Egloshayle Church, Wadebridge
  • Date: Saturday 21 November 2026
  • Time: 10am to 4pm

The Live Nativity has become one of the town’s best-loved Christmas traditions, and it returns to Egloshayle Church on Thursday 24 December.

Families can expect a short, lively retelling of the Christmas story, familiar carols and hymns, and some very special four-legged visitors.

Two services this year

So many families have been coming that there will be two services this year, each about 30 minutes long:

  • 3pm: suggested for families with younger children (Key Stage 1 and below)
  • 4pm: suggested for families with older children (Key Stage 2 and above)

If your children are different ages, just pick whichever service works best for your family. The parish says there’s no need to split up, and everyone is welcome.

  • Venue: Egloshayle Church, Wadebridge
  • Date: Thursday 24 December 2026
  • Times: 3pm and 4pm

The parish also has Carols in the churchyard, an Advent Carol service and Carols by Candlelight planned for later in the season.
