Cornwall weather: Sunday 11 October, murky but mild, up to 19°C
If Saturday felt like a colder turn, Sunday hands Cornwall the opposite. The day starts grey and only gets murkier, with rain working in from the west and the air turning noticeably milder. It is the opening move in a mild, murky spell that runs on into the start of next week. Here is how the Cornwall weather plays out, from a wet, breezy Sunday to a blustery few days ahead.

Today
A cloudy start gives way to an increasingly murky and mild day across Cornwall. Patchy rain arrives from the west through the morning, and some of the heavier outbreaks land here in the far west later on, while areas further east hold onto the dry for longer. It turns breezy, strongest along the coasts, with some strong gusts developing later in the day. Despite all the grey, it feels very mild, with temperatures reaching the high-teens, up to around 19°C.
Tonight
No real let-up once the light goes. It stays murky overnight, with heavy spells of rain and fog pushing inland. The wind keeps up too, turning strong along the southern coasts. It holds much milder than last night, with the temperature staying up at around 11°C.
Into next week
The mild, murky theme lingers into Monday before things turn more unsettled. Strong winds arrive on Tuesday morning, and once a band of passing showers clears through it will brighten up and feel cooler. Wednesday stays breezy with some sunny spells, before it turns increasingly cloudy, showery and windy again through Thursday.
