Cornwall weather: Sunday 13 September, warm and humid then fresher
If you have got plans in Cornwall today, keep a brolly within reach and do not be fooled by the mild, muggy air. The Met Office has the South West starting warm and humid but wet, with heavy bursts of rain early on before things quieten down. The word for the days ahead is changeable, and by midweek it will feel fresher. Here is how the Cornwall weather looks from today through to Thursday.

Today
A cloudy start comes with outbreaks of rain, turning heavy at times, so the first half of the day is the wettest of it. The rain gradually eases into the afternoon, leaving just a few light outbreaks possible, and it stays largely cloudy with a few brighter spells breaking through later. It is warm and humid with it, the regional forecast putting the high at 24°C.
Tonight
Staying mostly cloudy overnight, with a few spots of rain possible at times. It is another warm and fairly humid night across the region, the temperature dropping no lower than about 17°C.
Monday 14 September
Largely cloudy skies again on Monday, with a few outbreaks of rain or drizzle possible through the day. There should be some warm, humid brighter spells in the afternoon, and it is the warm peak of this run with a high of 25°C.

Tuesday to Thursday
This is where it changes. The outlook from Tuesday to Thursday is changeable and feeling fresher, with sunshine and showers spreading across the region and the wind steadily picking up. So the humid, heavy feel of the weekend gives way to something brighter, cooler and breezier as the week goes on, and with a changeable spell like this it is the timing of the showers that is worth checking again nearer the time.
